The Green salamander (Aneides aeneus) present in eastern USA, belongs to the family Plethodontidae, the lungless salamanders that breath through the skin. It lives in wet and shaded crevasses. It measures only 8-12 cm but the males do not hesitate in defending with bites their small reign. The females stick immediately after the courting 15-25 eggs on the ceiling of the rocky den and wrap them with their body fasting even three months, till hatching to protect them from intruders, well accepted and eaten if small © Giuseppe Mazza
