The Black-capped lory (Lorius lory) is a parrot of about 30 cm with brilliant and exceptional colours that may vary considerably among the seven classified subspecies. It lives only in the New Guinea and is never present in large number. Its specialized nutrition includes nectar and pollen of flowers taken with their particularly shaped tongue © Giuseppe Mazza
