A Hybrid Tea with a large double flower, bearing satin pink petals, very perfumed with a silvery sheen.

Created in France by Meilland in 1956 for the marriage of H.S.H. Princess Grace of Monaco.

“It is the most wonderful of all my wedding presents”, said the Princess, enchanted by this splendid rose, which adapts marvellously to the warm Mediterranean gardens.

The lineage of this rose is prestigious; it comes from the crossing of ‘Peace’, the famous Hybrid Tea created by Meilland in 1942, with ‘Michèle Meilland’, which in turn is a hybrid of ‘Joanna Hill’ x ‘Peace’.

In 1979, the Principality of Monaco dedicated a postage stamp to this rose.
