Hybrid Tea created in France in 1981 by Marie-Louise Meilland, and honoured to H.S.H. Princess Grace de Monaco.

It is also known as ‘Préference’, ‘Grace Kelly’, ‘Princess Grace’, ‘Princess of Monaco’, ‘Princesse Grace de Monaco’.

Flowers with 35-45 petals of a slight fruity perfume. Very resistant to diseases.

It was chosen personally by Her Highness in occasion of the “1er Salon International de la Rose de Monaco”.

It was a new variety amongst the others. Meilland was going to name it ‘Préference’, but for the Princess, who was the President of the jury, it was love at first sight. She asked that it be dedicated to Her, and this was immediately granted.
